Burner has been the category leader in virtual phone number apps for more than five years, with millions of customers and consistent recognition in the press, including TIME and The New York Times.About The RoleWe are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join our team. This is a strategic role where you will help lead the development of our Burner Web App, our internal Admin Portal and other web projects. You’ll be both a hands-on contributor and a mentor, providing technical oversight for other engineers while also pushing forward IC work on high-impact projects.What You'll Be DoingBuilding, reviewing, and maintaining features for the Burner Web AppLeading frontend architecture decisions, ensuring maintainability and scalabilityAdding features and improvements to our Admin Portal, giving it a dedicated engineering ownerActing as a team lead for web projects, mentoring and providing oversight of one or more other engineersWorking cross-functionally with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver great user experiencesWho We’re Looking ForStrong JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS experienceExperience with backend systems (Node.js, Go, or Python preferred).Familiarity with frameworks and tools like Vue, Next.js, Vite, WebpackComfortable working on small, highly collaborative teams with lots of autonomyAmbition to delight our customers and contribute to the achieving the goals of the businessExcited about working in a startup environment and growing rapidly in your careerNice-to-HavesExperience in mobile or telephony applicationsPrior exposure to privacy-focused productsStartup background and a builder mindset (vs. big-company-only experience)Interest and learning mindset around emerging AI development tools and workflowsOur Hiring ProcessWe believe interviews should reflect the actual work you’ll do here.
